Thread Vein Removal
This is one of Skinsmith’s most popular cosmetic procedures. Thread veins/spider veins are permanently dilated capillaries, most commonly found on the face. As we age these vessels lose their elasticity and become permanently dilated and visible. Causes are numerous including sun-damage, hereditary, ageing, pregnancy and physical trauma. For more information on this treatment please get in touch. Results are instant, with slight redness in treated area which normally lasts a couple of hours. Legs cannot be treated, only faces.
Price is £60 for 15 minutes.

Skin Tags
Skintags are mainly found in areas of friction, such as underarms, necks, groin, under boobs and intimate areas. They appear with a stick attachment, bit like a mushroom and can vary in size from a grain of rice to a large pea. The oldest one I have removed was 21 years old. They are harmless, but annoying because they are often caught . Skintags are removed by electro-cauterisation. Instant, no downtime and no scarring.
Cost is £60 for 15 minutes. Normally I can remove up to five large ones, or approx. 20 small ones in that time scale.
Milia
These are tiny, hard, white round spots which lie superficially under the skin and which contain keratin. Their cause is unknown although they are often associated with dry, dehydrated skin. Always found around delicate eye area. Please note that there is downtime with this treatment, area will feel crusty and red for several days.
Cost is £60 for 15 minutes. Generally I could remove one small cluster (approx 10 milia) in this time frame.
Seborrhoeic Keratosis
Seborrhoeic Keratosis is a very common non-cancerous skin growth. People tend to get more of them as they get older, hence the unflattering nickname of “senile warts”. I call them “Seb Ko’s” . They are usually brown, black or yellow/blonde in colour. Mostly found on back, chest, head and scalp, but can grow anywhere on the body (excluding palms and soles). These growths look waxy, scaly and can be raised. Electro-cauterisation scrapes off the growth and destroys the tissue. Occasionally there are little blood spots whilst removing these lesions and you will have a scab for at least 4-5 days following treatment. You may need several visits if they are multiple.
Price for removal/reduction is £75 for 15 minutes.
Facial Lumps and Bumps, Angiofibromas, Keratinous Cyst, Actinic keratosis
Angiomas are benign, small pink lumps (papules) that are found mostly near the nose and look like colourless moles. They are not dangerous and cannot turn into skin cancer. Sometimes facial lumps feel like little peas and may contain a protein called Keratin, hence keratinous cysts. They can be safely and effectively removed using electro-cauterisation. Afterwards there will be a little scab which will heal within 4-5 days. The side of the nose is a very sensitive area and topical numbing cream can be applied if required.
Cost of removal is £75 per blemish.
Hairs in Moles
Firstly the hairs would be removed by using a traditional electrolysis technique, then quick probe change and the mole will be removed/reduced using advanced electro-cauterisation. Please note that all visible hairs will be permanently removed, but the dormant hairs will grow several weeks later.
Price is £50 for 15 minutes.
